The fascinating world that the Canaima National Park presents is a perfect combination of magic and reality, with impressive ancient formations called Tepuys, countless rivers, ponds, waterfalls, jungles and savannahs spread like a green sea.
You will find a very interesting flora and fauna, endemic in many cases (unique in the world), and a likewise living in this natural environment of indigenous Pemón, with their ancestral culture, crafts, folklore and gastronomy. The transformation of the landscape is mainly due to drastic climate changes in arid to wet and vice versa, with constant and prolonged heavy rainfall.
The edge of the waterways is an entire document graphic that is meant to symbolize the grandeur and richness of life contained in these lands almost virgin Canaima National Park.
Day 1
Assistance at the airport in Canaima, reconfirmation of tickets, transportation to camp, lunch, checking luggage, beginning of the expedition: After a short walk of 20 minutes to get to the Puerto Ucaima. Beginning of navigation up the river to reach the rapids of Mayupa, after a walk of about 30 minutes we arrive at Sabana de Mayupa. We continue sailing upstream on the outstanding Carrao basin, through the rapids of Arautaima and the Well of Happiness, we will make a brief stop at the Camp of the Orchid Island. Then we follow the navigation through the magnificent river rapids of Churun, skirting the majestic and mysterious Auyantepuy. We will overnight at the Canyon Del Diablo on the Isla Raton Island, dinner (smoked chicken and meat), and accommodation in comfortable hammocks.
Day 2
After breakfast, we will explore into the jungle, a walk of 45 minutes to reach the magnificent mountain scenery of the Laime viewpoint (Mirador de Laime), where you can enjoy the incomparable view of the Angel Falls, enjoy a swim in the purest, cleanest and magic waters in this unspoilt world. Return to the camp on Isla Raton, lunch (chicken on a stick produced typical indigenous style). Return to the village of Canaima, before there was a tour behind the spectacular curtain of water that form the Sapo. Dinner. Overnight stay in the village of Canaima.
Day 3
Breakfast. After a canoe ride we will take a walk around the Laguna De Canaima, where we will visit the Salto Hacha Water fall (With a curtain of water approximate 60 meters high) depending on the level of the Carrao River, we cross the other end of the water fall. Return in the afternoon.
